RB20DET Power Steering Pump Upgrade Kit | VK56 Conversion

Replace your RB20DET power steering pump and bracket with a more readily available VK56 pump. This bolt-on conversion kit mounts a single-stage VK56 power steering pump to your RB engine and retains your existing power steering lines.

Designed for RB20DET engines in the R32 Skyline, the bracket also fits RB25DET, RB25DET NEO, RB26DETT, and RB30 applications in R32, R33, and R34 chassis.

Why upgrade?

• Easier pump replacement: VK56 pumps are available in aftermarket, OEM, and used options, so you can replace a failed pump without hunting for an RB20DET unit.
• Simpler HICAS plumbing: The single-stage pump removes the pump’s hydraulic supply for R32 HICAS setups.
• Bolt-on installation: Remove the original pump and bracket, then install the conversion with basic hand tools. No cutting or drilling is required.
• Flexible belt routing: The bracket’s adjustment range can position the pump to share a belt with the A/C compressor. The included idler pulley adds belt wrap and helps support belt retention at high RPM.
• Durable construction: The 8 mm steel bracket is powder coated black. Engineered, cut, and assembled in the USA.

HICAS fitment note: A single-stage pump removes the hydraulic supply used by the original R32 HICAS pump. A complete rear steering delete requires separate rear HICAS hardware and plumbing work.

Pump warranty: Optional pumps carry the pump manufacturer’s warranty. We offer them as a convenient way to order the conversion parts together.
